Health facilities at the Border Police Unit and Border Police Training Campus in Kitui have received beds and other equipment to help improve services.

Border Police Unit officers also received face masks to help them in preventing the spread of Covid-19.

Madison Life Assurance Company made the donations to the officers.

Githua Ngaruiya, managing director of Madison Life Assurance, said the company would help the unit in furnishing a health facility currently under construction.

He spoke when he and senior officials from the company toured the Border Police Unit in Kitui.

“Today, we are glad to partner with you, through a contribution that will go towards buying beds for your hospital. With this support and others, I have no doubt that your officers will always leave this facility better than they came. I would like to be part of the good medical care that your officers here get,” he said.

“Men and women of uniform are very close to my heart. I have and will continue to champion engagements with the forces. I commit to continue my support.”

Ngaruiya advised the police officers that they needed to plan for their future financial stability, which he noted would not come easy without planning.

“Over and above good health, I would like to see you have better financial health. At Madison Group, we have products and services that will help you in acquiring quality education for your children and secure your financial future,” he said.

He told the officers that financial success does not come by chance.

“It comes by planning ahead and setting financial goals. Madison is committed to supporting you through this journey,” Ngaruiya said.
