National Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung'u has proposed an allocation of Sh4.2 billion to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
The CS while reading the budget estimates in Parliament on Thursday said the allocation will enhance good governance and fight against corruption.
He further proposed an allocation of Sh4 billion for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
Ndung'u has proposed Sh6.9 billion for the State Law Office and Sh8.7 billion for the Office of the Auditor General.
"In addition to enhance the oversight and registrational role of Parliament, I propose an allocation of Sh44.6 billion for Parliament," Ndung'u said.
The CS further proposed an allocation of Sh24.7 to the Judiciary to enable administration and justice.
That includes Sh900 million for construction and refurbishment of courts and Sh800 million for the automation of the Judiciary.
The 2024/2025 budget is estimated to cost Sh3.91 trillion.
Of the amount, Sh1.58 trillion is meant for recurrent expenditure, Sh727.9 billion for development expenditure, Sh1.21 trillion for consolidated fund services and Sh400 billion for county equitable share.
To foot this budget, the government targets to collect Sh2.91 trillion from ordinary revenue and Sh441 billion from ministerial appropriation in aid.
