Embakasi East MP Babu Owino now says the 7 member team fronted by Azimio to negotiate with President William Ruto's team should have included youths.
This is even as some politicians questioned why Owino who has been loyal to Raila Odinga missed out on the list.
"A team has been set up to Represent Azimio in the Bipartisan talks. I wish them well. However, it would have been more efficient if a youth was part of the team because it's the youth who are killed, maimed and still at the forefront in the struggle," Owino tweeted.
Kabando wa Kabando urged Owino to take heart saying he was fit for the job.
"Capable cast. We support. Take heart comrade Owino. Even Baba is nearing 80, yet more youthful than most in their 20s. Progressiveness of the mind matters more," Kabando tweeted.
Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai said the team should have involved county assembly representatives.
He said the selected team might not work well for MCAs since it only has MPs and Senators.
"MCAs drove the resistance against impunity. MPs sold us off and were even bought in the National Assembly and Senate like njugu. So why don't we have MCAs?" Alai paused.
In what appeared to be a climbdown from his earlier demand for National Accord-like negotiations, Raila Odinga opted for a bi-partisan approach fronted by Ruto to push Azimio's interests in the talks.
Azimio will be represented by Senate Minority Whip Ledama Olekina, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna and Senate deputy minority leader Enoch Wambua.
Others in the team are MPs Otiende Amollo (Rarieda), David PKosing (Pokot South), Millie Odhiambo (Suba North) and Amina Mnyanzi (Malindi).
The team was picked during an extraordinary Azimio la Umoja parliamentary group meeting in Stoni Athi, Machakos county.
