Eurobond files to be reviewed

The Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered further review of files on the Eurobond allegations.

The review will be conducted by a joint team of EACC and the DCI, who will submit the files within 14 days.

In a statement yesterday, Keriako Tobiko said there are crucial areas in the files that need clarification and additional information before his office makes a decision.

“On January 8 I received from EACC the investigation file on the Eurobond allegations and my team noted crucial areas that require clarification before a definitive decision can be made,” he said.

“After holding a meeting with the two teams, we agreed that they will address these areas and provide the requested clarification.”
