Flight 540 Airliner is facing a Sh270 million compensation suit for sacking a pilot.
French pilot Erwan Lanoe says he was wrongfully sacked after he demanded his incentives worth Sh2,293,962.
Lanoe worked for the Airliner from June 2010 to November 2014 when he was fired.
Through his lawyer Judith Guserwa, the pilot says he was hired on Sh925,560 monthly salary.
The lawyer yesterday told Justice Mathews Nderi Nduma that Lanoe was promoted to the position of deputy chief pilot and later to chief pilot.
But he was fired after he demanded his incentives.
“During the claimant's tenure as an employee, he was a dedicated servant who met his target, which was recognised by the employer," Guserwa said.
When he requested for his incentives, Lenoe claims the Airliner accused him of inciting other pilots.
He says the firm threatened to take him to the Immigration department if he failed to produce a work permit.
Lanoe says the Airliner fired him last November in breach of the contract.
He says the Airliner acted in malice and bad faith in alleging that he did not have permit when he was working for it.
He says the company subjected him to ridicule and suffering
and want the court to award him damages.
The hearing will continue on May 8.
