Is a governor from a populous region in panic? Well, the county boss is a man under siege following his persistent attacks on a senior leader. The governor told some of his aides that he allegedly felt threatened after he received a call from the senior leader. The senior leader allegedly told him to keep off national matters and concentrate on his mandate. He had questioned the top leader's commitment to address key issues affecting the region. The call is reported to have caused jitters, forcing the governor to say he will retreat and focus on his issues going forward.

The MP has allegedly been holding meetings at his private offices and residences, highlighting his growing influence within his camp. Surprisingly, the legislator has purportedly been summoning governors to his meetings and sometimes lecturing them on what is expected of them. It is not clear why the MP has been holding the meetings, but it is said that he wants to assert his authority and influence within the camp. Those considered critical of his meetings are later admonished by senior leaders of the influential camp.

A top CEO of a strategic agency could be hounded out of the office in the coming months after a falling out with the board. The board's chairperson, an influential figure within government circles, has allegedly sent the CEO on compulsory leave and told the board that his days are numbered. The CEO allegedly meddled in the award of lucrative contracts that the chairperson and senior government officers had an interest in. The tender was reported to be worth millions of shillings and was awarded to a firm previously associated with a senior opposition figure. The board is reported to be convening in the next 14 days to decide on the CEO's fate.

A political leader who is fond of travelling with a coterie of hangers-on has scaled down his delegations after his team purportedly clashed with state operatives. It is alleged that the politician had tried to force his way into a state facility recently with tens of his handlers but was blocked. When the handlers tried to resist, some of them were roughed up and detained for hours. It is said that the politician tries to use his proximity to the powers that be to intimidate security officials and force his way into state facilities even when not invited. The security officers had marked him for months and wanted to teach him a lesson. Since the incident, he has driven himself whenever needed and avoids creating any scenes.
