Nyeri Town MP Ngujiri Wambugu has urged Jubilee supporters to shun politicians who insult President Uhuru Kenyatta and the party leadership.
Wambugu said some Kenya Kwanza Alliance politicians have been going around Mt Kenya hurling insults at Uhuru and Jubilee.
“We are asking our people to avoid them and point out their insults whenever they engage with you in their rallies,” he said.
The lawmaker said Kenya Kwanza politicians are desperate because they have realised they will lose in the August 9 polls.
Wambugu said they have now resorted to attacks on the president, the government they are part of and individual MPs.
The MP spoke to the media on Monday after holding a ward mobilisation meeting with Jubilee supporters from Rware Ward in Nyeri.
Wambugu said he has been meeting Jubilee supporters in various wards which include Gatitu-Muruguru, Kiganjo- Mathari, Kamakwa-Mukaro, and Ruring’u.
During the meetings, about 300 to 400 people were mobilised per ward.
He said the party’s aim is to have a stake in the next government by ensuring it gets at least 100 MPs, majority MCAs, senators and governors.
They also explained to the residents why they have decided to support ODM leader Raila Odinga instead of Deputy President William Ruto.
