It is a boy!
Award-winning actress Janet Kirina Nariki is the newest celebrity mum in town.
The screen star, singer-songwriter and filmmaker, welcomed a bouncing baby boy on her 30th birthday.
Janet, popularly known for her starring roles in the local drama series Makutano Junction, announced the birth of her first born child on social media.
She said: "Best mama's 30th Birthday gift. 5 days belated, little ninja, Aiden Kirina, 2.4Kgs born 30th April. Life never felt this divinely perfect. I love you my little angel. You are....*here goes them tears*....how you been making me so emotional....*we gone finish this dedication later when I am done kissing you* [sic]."
Janet who heads Kirina Productions says she is working on a number of TV and film projects.
They are set to be released later this year.
As from 2010, she hosted on a local TV channel a kid-show called Know Zone, where she co-hosted with actor Charles Ouda and Emily Wanja, having been colleagues in Makutano Junction.
She has also acted in other films and TV series including Benta, All Girls Together, Block-D and Higher Learning.
In 2009, she won the Kalasha Awards Best Lead Actress in a Film category for Benta.
Janet ventured in music in 2013 where she released her debut single Night Out.
It was followed by Niingize Box.
She is working on her debut album.
