748 Air Services scales up flights to Coast ahead of festive season

Daily flights to Kisumu have however, been reduced to one afternoon frequency.

Aviation company, 748 Air Services has announced plans to scale up flights to the Coast, beginning December 1, 2021.

In a statement, Managing Director Moses Mwangi said the airline will increase its flight frequency to the coastal tourism circuit and adjust departure and arrival times to Mombasa and Ukunda.

He stated that this will be part of plans to strengthen its presence in key domestic routes as the peak season approaches.

“We have seen an increase of people travelling for leisure to the coast. As a result, we have decided to increase flights to these routes,” he said.

The airline has also added more planes to its fleet, to meet the demands of the peak season.

“To meet demand during peak tourism season and ensure our customers continue to seamlessly get the best service with no delays, we have added 2 Dash 8-Q400s to our fleet,” 748 Air Services Chairman, Ahmed Jibril said.

In the new changes, the first flight from Jomo Kenya International Airport will depart from 9.00 am and arrive at Moi International Airport at 10.00 am.

The midday flight will depart from JKIA at 1.00 pm and return from Moi International Airport at 3.00 pm.

The evening flight to Mombasa will leave at 5.00 pm and depart from Moi International Airport at 7.00 pm.

Daily flights to Kisumu have however, been reduced to one afternoon frequency.

For the Ukunda route, a morning frequency has been introduced for travelers with the flight departing from JKIA at 8.30 am.

In June, 748 Air Services introduced daily flights from Nairobi to Mombasa and Diani.
