KCB face Menengai Oilers in a mouth-watering Kenya Cup semifinal showdown at the Lion's Den in Ruaraka on Saturday.

At stake is a place in the final against champions Kabras or Nondies on April 6.

This will be the second meeting between the two sides with the Nakuru-based Oilers ending KCB's eight-match unbeaten run with a clinical 21-7 demolition in Nakuru at the beginning of the month.

Speaking earlier in the week head coach Curtis Olago said his team has what it takes to knock out Oilers out of the title race.

“We camped in Karen for four days last week in preparation for this tough encounter against a good side," said Olago. "We know our opponent is strong and we must be clinical in every part of the pitch."

"We want to reclaim our Kenya Cup title but first, we must knock the Oilers out of the competition,” added Olago.

KCB will welcome veteran backrows Davis Chenge and Martin Owila guiding young locks, Andycole Omollo and Emmanuel Silungi, in the forwards.

Fullback Darwin Mukidza,  Samuel Asati at scrumhalf and Vincent Onyala at centre will inject the much-needed experience in the back line that will most likely feature the destructive centre Bob Muhati, Trevor Arina, and fly-half Brian Wahinya.

We are happy with the return of our key players. Onyala will give us the experience we need at the back while Asati’s silky moves will enable us to break the Oilers' defence. Chenge was also out and we are happy he joins a hungry team, ready for the challenge,” added Olago.

Oilers have made four changes for the eagerly-anticipated clash.

Destorius Ifedha steps in for Vincent Mwikhali in the front row, joining Francis Atiti and Celestine Mboi.

Kenya Sevens John Okoth comes into the wing to replace Kelvin Chebet.

Champions Kabras welcome Kevin Wekesa and Lamech Ambetsa from Kenya Sevens duty for the battle against Nondies.

Gabriel Adero starts at number 8 in place of the injured Jeanson Misoga.

Brian Tanga starts at flyhalf with Barry Robinson at scrumhalf. Griffin Chao comes at open wing in place of Humphrey Asirikwa.

Nondies have made two changes in the backline.

Ian Mabwa replaces Alex Devereux at scrum-half as Charles Omondi replaces former Kabras man, Dominic Osino, on the right wing.

The rest of the squad is intact with Bruce Odhiambo at fly-half while Benjamin Marshall and Charles Odhiambo are in the midfield.
