The eagerly awaited second leg of Safari Tour Season Six tee off on Sunday at the prestigious Vet Lab Sports Club in Nairobi.

The four-day event, starting Sunday to Wednesday, promises an exciting showcase of golfing prowess with the participation of 50 skilled professional players from Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and hosts Kenya. Edgar Brian and Ewan Van are the only amateurs participating in this event.

The Safari Tour has gained regional acclaim for its role in nurturing golf talent and fostering healthy competition among players from different countries.

Dismas Indiza, who emerged victorious in the last leg held in Uganda, expressed confidence in his readiness to take the lead in this leg.

"I am prepared for the challenge, and I am eager to continue my momentum from the previous leg," said Indiza. Other players expected to play include Paul Chidale, Philip Kasozi, Justus Madoya, and Tony Omuli among others.

The tournament holds added significance as players compete for valuable points, and the top eight performers will secure coveted spots to participate in the prestigious 2024 Magical Kenya Open.

The Safari Tour Committee has affirmed its commitment to the growth of golf in the region, announcing four more events lined up for the coming year.

Saturday's Pro-Am event served as a  curtain-raiser, providing a glimpse of the talent and camaraderie that will unfold during the main competition.
