Top golfers to battle for Johnnie Walker semifinals at Muthaiga

The semi-final round of the 'Road to Gleneagles' Johnnie Walker Golf Serie this weekend has attracted 200 golfers at Muthaiga Golf Club this Friday.

The event, also known as ‘Eagles Round’ will feature teams that finished in the top three overall positions during the Series’ qualifier legs held across 18 golf clubs in the country. They will tee off starting 06:30hrs.

The golfers will compete in the tournament’s four-ball Stableford format where they will be seeking to make the cut for the Grand Finale on May 20 at Karen Country Club.

Here, a fully-paid trip to the iconic Gleneagles Golf Course in Scotland will be up for grabs.

The Eagles Round follows the 17th and 18th legs of the Series held last weekend at Royal Nairobi.

Morris Njue, Victor Kidiwa, Paul Ichangi, and Josiah Kogo won the Royal leg after posting a combined score of 111 points.

Humphrey Wattanga, Steve Lugalia, Sammy Itemere, and Shadrack Ogindo were second with a combined 108 points while  Dsouza Renato led Felix Ochieng,  Mark Okeyo, and Sylvester Odhiambo to the third spot with 102 points.

At Nyanza Club, Griffins Owino led Julius Omollo, David Omollo, and Elizabeth Akinyi to win after carding 101 points.
