We wish Harambee Stars all the best as they prepare for two crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Malawi.

After taking on the Swallows of Burundi on June 7, the star-studded Kenyan contingent will bring the combat to the doorsteps of the highly fancied Elephants of  Cote d'Ivoire on June 11.

Kenya lies third in Group 'F' behind Cote d'Ivoire and Gabon after securing three points from two fixtures thus far.

The East African nation kicked off its lofty crusade on a torrid note with a heart-wrenching 2-1 to Gabon on November 16 last year but amazingly bounced back from the lapse to record an assertive 5-0 win over Seychelles in Abidjan four days later.

Also on the card is a decisive match against the Scorpions of Gambia who acquired the services of immediate former Gor Mahia FC head gaffer Johnathan McKinstry.

The Northern Irish tactician attracted immense interest from the West African nation following his glorious exploits on the Kenyan football terrain, where he steered K'Ogalo to two successive titles after joining them in 2022.

Harambee Stars head into the next phase of the qualifiers fully cognizant that they must seal the top spot in their group to attain the elusive dream of a maiden World Cup appearance.

The premier global showpiece —involving 48 teams — will be staged across 16 cities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

Four of the best runners-up from the nine groups will have a chance in a playoff that will determine Caf’s representative in the Inter-confederation playoffs involving six teams, which will decide the last two Fifa World Cup berths.

We have every reason to be extremely confident in Kenya's aptitude to punch a ticket to the coveted football extravaganza.

The vast wealth of talent in the squad and a demonstration of excellence in recent games attest to Harambee Stars' ability to glisten in the realm of transnational football.

Harambee Stars have accomplished an important first in the history of the country by winning five away games in a single year under the tutorship of current head gaffer Engin Firat.

The team set their season in motion in March with a convincing outing at the Four Nations Cup in Malawi, where they thrashed the hosts 4-0 before humiliating Zimbabwe 3-1 in the finals to tuck away the trophy.

This outstanding accomplishment not only showcased the players' immense potential but also their ballooning conviction and determination to garnish Kenya's trophy cabinet with more accolades.

Harambee Stars boasts players with world-class skills and a tenacious quest for excellence. The squad members have previously demonstrated exceptional talent in crucial encounters, leaving their opponents in awe of their prowess.

Moreover, a significant of foreign-based players holding briefs for the nation in the ongoing qualifiers are well-versed in playing against top teams, given their experience and exposure in European leagues.

The Kenyan people eagerly await the opportunity to witness a new chapter in history; a glorious moment when the country will appear in the World Cup for the first time since independence. Go Stars, go! Make Kenya and East Africa proud.
