Mercurial Tusker FC left-back Levin Odhiambo has joined record Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

Speaking on Tuesday after agreeing to a two-year deal with the Kenyan champions, Odhiambo said he was looking forward to the new challenge with K'Ogalo.

"I want to thank God for another wonderful opportunity in my career. May you continue guiding and protecting me through this beautiful adventure, and hoping for the best to come," Odhiambo started.

The development comes a day after Odhiambo bade farewell to the Ruaraka-based Brewers in an emotionally charged Facebook post.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank Tusker FC, from the management, the technical bench, and my teammates. You have all been kind to me and I will keep all the memories we shared," Odhiambo wrote on Monday.

"You will always be in my heart. Special thanks to the fans for your support every day. I wish you all the best in your future matches and may God bless you all," he added.

The talented defender showed interest in joining K'Ogalo at the beginning of the season, but Tusker, seemingly uncomfortable with his decision, stopped him from doing so.

Odhiambo found himself sitting out of Tusker FC's matches for the better part of this season from the time he openly declared interest in leaving the club.
