The second edition of Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang's Super League is set to start on Saturday, October 7.
The tournament, this time will, be held in partnership with the Football Kenya Federation.
"We are including all teams from the county. We have 16 teams from every ward. We have 50 ladies' teams and 400 teams for men," Chesang said.
The football tournament will be held at Ndura farm in Trans Nzoia county.
The finals of the tournament will be held on October 25.
The tournament will involve both men and women. Winners in the male category will pocket Sh1 million.
Runners Up will pocket half a million. Those who become third will pocket Sh250,000 and Sh100,000 will be given to the fourth team.
Those who win the women's category will win Sh300,00, Sh200,000 for runners-up, Sh100,000 for third place and Sh50,0000 for third place.
Senator Chesang says the tournament seeks to empower the youth in efforts to combat drug abuse.
"Teams that will win at the constituency level will get a trophy and facilitation to enable them to compete with ease at the county levels," the Senator said.
He said the tournament will reduce crime while at the same time promoting talent.
The tournament will also include sporting activities such as volleyball, pool and other indoor games.
