After thrashing Vihiga Bullets 5-1 on Matchday One of the National Super League, Gusii FC will on Saturday face a tougher test when they visit Mombasa Elite at Mbaraki Sports Club.
Coach Kassim Junior hailed his charges for the emphatic win against Vihiga and challenged them to keep that momentum at sea level.
“It’s too early to talk about winning the NSL or qualifying for the Kenyan Premier League. But it’s possible with good preparations,” said Junior.
"I am yet to settle on my first 11 after signing 16 players. The team is yet to gel but we are heading to Mombasa for a positive result.”
Gusii got a boost after landing a partnership deal with gaming firm ChapaBet.
