Some done transfer deals ahead of FKF 5pm deadline

The Football Kenya Federation Premier League transfer window will officially close today at 5 pm, bringing an end to transfer sagas that have characterised the market so far.

The transfer window, which has lasted for seven weeks was opened on July 21 and some big moves have been witnessed up to this point even as clubs scramble to beef up their squads in the remaining few hours.

The 2023/24 Kenya Premier League season is ongoing with two matches already played.

Kakamega Homeboyz forward, Agwanda Enock, has joined the newly- promoted Kisii-based side Shabana FC. The maverick striker has previously donned the colours of Gor Mahia, Bandari and Sofapaka.

Shabana, whose priority is to maintain their top-flight status, has also signed Gusii FC midfielder Samuel Maiko.

Homeboyz have allowed right-back Collins Odhiambo to join former KPL champions Tusker FC. The brewers have also roped in Chris Erambo from Mombasa Elite FC. The dynamic midfielder has signed a two-year deal.

Issa Lumumba is back with Ulinzi Stars from Kariobangi Sharks.

Also worth noting is that Kenya Police FC striker Elvis Rupia has moved to Tanzanian-based side Singida Fountain Gate FC.

Rupia bagged the Golden Boot award last season after netting 27 times for the law enforcers breaking a 47-year record set by Gor Mahia's Aloo Sonyi of 26 goals.

Meanwhile, former Gor Mahia defender, Oscar Kambona, will join Shabana FC in the capacities of an assistant coach and fitness trainer
