Kenya Police Bullets, formerly Thika United, have unveiled a technical bench led by Harambee Starlets head coach Belidine Odemba.

According to the Kenya Police chief executive officer, Chris Oguso,  Habib Hussein, will be Odemba's assistant while Dick Otieno is the goalkeeper trainer.

Samuel Mwangi was appointed as the strength and conditioning coach while Esther Aluoch is the physiotherapist.

Betty Kirguri is the team manager. Other technical bench members are Afande Cele (deputy team manager), Abubakar Otiato (kit manager), and Douglas Kisoi (liaison officer).

In a statement, Oguso said: “Beldine is an experienced coach who understands well how to deal with women. We believe she has all it takes to take this team to greater heights.”

He noted that their main objective is to win the national championship and Cecafa and represent the region at the Caf Championship, which comes with good prize money and a trophy.

“I think women players have been neglected for a long time. We want to bring some difference by giving the girls a monthly salary, winning allowances, and job opportunities,” he added.

He revealed that all the technical bench officials also will have contracts and salaries pertaining to their positions.

“We are crafting a fully professional team with structures that meet international standards. Our girls will never borrow or lack as they will be fully catered for. Currently, the head coach is constituting a team that will soon be dominating this country's league,” noted the CEO.

He revealed that they are currently overwhelmed by the number of players asking to join them owing to their good name in management and the availability of possible job opportunities.

Kenya Police took over Thika Queens and changed the name to Bullets following Caf directive that all clubs participating in continental competitions must-have women's sides.
