Murang’a Seal are hoping to cut Shabana’s lead at the top of the National Super League table to three points when they host Migori Youth at St Sebastian Park on Wednesday.

The rescheduled game is expected to be tightly contested with the two teams firmly in the promotion mix. Murang’a Seal sit second on the log with 51 points while Migori Youth are third with 47.

Shabana lead the log with 57 points.  Shabana and Murang’a Seal are in the driving seat in the promotion race with Migori Youth, Mara Sugar, and Gusii FC battling for the playoff slots.

 Migori Youth coach Sammy Otulo said they are traveling to Murang’a for maximum points. “Every coach has a target of winning games. We are going for nothing but a win. For now, our target is not to drop points and maintain the third position,” said Otulo.

He added: “Winning against Murang’a Seal will boost our chances of promotion to the KPL. I know every game has its own challenges but we are prepared for it.”

The tactician said he will miss three of his first-team players through injury but hopes to have them back for the next assignment.

The on-form Migori Youth is on a five-game winning streak and they will hope to maintain their winning ways.

Last weekend, Murang’a Seal thrashed Vihiga United 5-0 while Migori Youth beat Naivas FC 3-0 to end their play-off hopes.

In another mid-week clash, Yatta-based Mully Children’s Family (MCF) will entertain Darajani Gogo at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.MCF is 10th on the log while Darajani is sixth.
