In the second half, Shabana picked from where they left off as Absolom Onyango added the third in the 52nd minute. Peter Ogechi wrapped up the scores for Shabana in the 60th minute to increase his goal tally for the club to 12.

Shabana would have scored five goals but Nehemiah Onchiri’s penalty was saved by Coastal Heroes' goalkeeper Dhadho Said in the 87th minute.

Shabana coach Sammy Okoth was happy with the performance. “As we hit the countdown, we must continue to work hard and win all our remaining matches. There are areas we need to improve like our pressing which was down. Our restarts were also slow. The boys played well compared to our last game,” said Okoth.

His Coastal Heroes' counterpart Hussein Mohammed said despite the loss, he was happy with the performance of the team.

“We started well but the boys lost concentration. I’m okay with the performance because this is a young team. Since we don’t have sponsors, it’s not easy to sign experienced players. When the season started, our target was to maintain our National Super League status which I think we have achieved,” said Mohammed.

At St Sebastian Park, Titus Kapchanga scored twice while John Kipangat, Wilson Kamau, and Eric Juma were also on target in Murang’a Seal’s 5-0 win over Vihiga United.
