Senators allied to the opposition on Wednesday boycotted the grilling of Cabinet Secretaries.
The lawmakers, who make up the Minority side of the House, did not make an appearance as CSs including Interior's Kithure Kindiki responded to questions.
Other CSs who appeared before the House to answer an array of questions from senators included Zachariah Njeru (Lands) and Salim Mvurya(Blue Economy and Mining).
Some of the senators who stayed away from the Wednesday morning sitting were those from Raila Odinga's ODM party.
From the Wiper party, which is a member of Azimio, only Machakos Senator Agnes Kavindu turned up for the morning session.
However, as the Minority leadership kept off the sittings, Jubilee senators were in the house to listen to the CSs answering questions.
Jubilee senators Abdul Haji(Garissa), Fatuma Dullo(Isiolo) and Margret Kamar(nominated) were in the house for the CSs question time.
The Jubilee party senators have already vowed to work with President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza government despite opposition from Raila.
The Azimio One Kenya Coalition party is in court challenging the appearance of CSs in parliamentary plenary terming the move unconstitutional.
Minority leadership in the Senate include Stewart Madzayo (Minority Leader), Edwin Sifuna( Deputy Minority Leader), Ledama Ole Kina( Minority Whip) and Enock Wambua(Deputy Minority Whip).
