A total of six matches are lined up in Kenya Women's Premier League this weekend as the league resumes after the Cup competition.

Defending champions Vihiga Queens have a date with  Kayole Starlets at Mumias Sports Complex on Sunday. Vihiga, who are the four-time WPL winners, will move to 28 points should they beat lowly-ranked Kayole.

The Vihiga county sponsored side top the standings by virtue of a superior goal difference since they are on 25 points just like Gaspo Women.

Gaspo, with a single loss in 12 matches thus far, will be expected to cruise against Kangemi Ladies at the Gems Cambridge. The Kawangware side sits in a precarious 11th position in the 12-team league, having mastered a solitary win.

Thika Queens face a herculean task against Bunyore Starlets at Mumboha grounds. Thika are yet to draw a match this season but will hope to exert revenge against Bunyore after losing 2-1 in the reverse fixture at their backyard.

Ulinzi Starlets who are the defending champions of the Football Kenya Federation Women's Cup as well as the Super Cup, travel to Kenyatta Stadium, Kitale to settle scores with Trans Nzoia Falcons.

The Falcons are a tough nut to crush at home so the Joseph Mwanza tutored soldiers must be watchful to avoid dropping points away.

Fifth-placed Nakuru City Queens will play Kisumu All Starlets at the Agricultural Showground, Nakuru in what promises to be a pulsating encounter.

Wadadia will hope to earn their seventh win of the season by beating Zetech Sparks. The students have found the going tough after registering 13 points to languish in the bottom three.
