The senior women's national team, Harambee Starlets, will play an international friendly match against Albania on April 11 in Tirana, Football Kenya Federation (FKF) have announced.

This is the first international engagement for the Starlets in over a year after the FKF’s suspension by the World football governing body, Fifa.

The team reports to camp on March 30 and leaves for Albania on April 8,  according to the communication.

Albania are ranked 71st in Fifa women’s ranking. Starlets remain at position 149 as of the December 9, 2022 rankings. Currently, there are 187 women-ranked nations.

Charles Okere was reinstated as head coach following the lifting of the suspension. Former Vihiga Queens coach Alex Alumira had been appointed by the FKF Caretaker Committee.
