TOUGH CHALLENGE

Can Gor Mahia contain the Homeboyz surge?

Any further slip in their remaining fixtures might prove suicidal to their lofty ambitions, given reigning champions Tusker are savoring for such an eventuality.

In Summary

•The 2019/2020 runners-up have been on the rampage this season, only crashing thrice in the 30 league encounters they have been involved in thus far.

•The brewers are hot on their heels with 56 points — only three adrift — and anything less than a win for Homeboyz this afternoon could take the race to the wire.

Kenyan Premier League leaders, Kakamega Homeboyz, will leave nothing to chance in their bid for a dream maiden title as they dare Gor Mahia to a vicious duel at Moi Stadium Kasarani on Saturday.

The 2019/2020 runners-up have been on the rampage this season, only crashing thrice in the 30 league encounters they have been involved in thus far.

Any further slip in their remaining fixtures might prove suicidal to their lofty ambitions, given reigning champions Tusker are savoring for such an eventuality.

The brewers are hot on their heels with 56 points — only three adrift — and anything less than a win for Homeboyz this afternoon could take the race to the wire.

With only three more rounds on the card, any remote hopes K'Ogalo had nursed of bagging their 20th title have gone up in flames after a lackadaisical run at the latter stages of the season.

The record Kenyan champions are fifth on the log with 47 points and even if they were to win all their remaining fixtures they would only draw level with Homeboyz who still have three matches in hand.

For Gor to clinch the title, they must pray for Homeboyz, Tusker and third-placed Bandari to crush in all their remaining matches — a situation that is far from reality.
