A 20-year-old Kakamega-based businessman is smiling all the way to the bank after bagging a whopping Sh1.1 million in the Betsafe Super Jackpot.

Fred Bundi said he correctly predicted the outcomes of 16 out of the 17 games he placed his bet on.

The youngster was exchanging pleasantries with friends in the neighboUrhood after an awful day at work when he received the surprise call that transformed his life instantly.

“The phone call left me in tears and my friends who were startled frantically sought to know what had befallen me,” said Bundi.

Bundi intends to shore up his fluctuating online business that has experienced mixed fortunes in recent days.

“Basically, I do online jobs but of late business has not been so good and the earnings have plummeted considerably. It's one of the easiest jackpots and luckily after trying, I got 16 out of my 17 predictions right. It feels so proud to be a millionaire at 20,” he added.

But Bundi wasn't celebrating the pleasant windfall alone. Janeffer Wanjiru from Thika and Peter Kihara, who resides in Nairobi's Kawangware estate, each woke up Sh300,000 richer after bagging the Daily Jackpot which has a selection of nine games.

“I was at home doing household chores when I received the news,” said Wanjiru, adding she intends to plough back her plum win into further predictions.

Mesmerised by his sudden fortunes, Kihara said he was still at a loss and had no idea absolutely how he would be spending his money.

“Honestly speaking, this has completely caught me by surprise. I must sit down first to try and figure out how I'll invest the amount,” said Kihara.

Betsafe Customer Service Team Leader Lorraine Wanyonyi, led her colleagues Mavin Waganda and Anthony Kiio in the presentation ceremony.
