Kariobangi Sharks reignited their dreams of a maiden top-flight title with a 4-0 thumping of relegation-threatened Vihiga United in a one-sided Kenyan Premier League encounter at Thika Stadium on Saturday.

Eric Kapaito scored in the 5th and 64th minutes to take his tally to 20 this season. James Mazembe and Peter Lwasa scored a goal a-piece in the 14th and 36th minutes respectively to sink Vihiga further.

Just five minutes into the match, Kapaito came on the end of Mazembe's enticing cross to put Sharks in the driving seat.

Then in the 14th minute, Reagan Odede picked out Mazembe with a pinpoint pass and the speedy forward proved clinical in front of goal to double his side's advantage.

In the 36th minute, Mazembe was now the provider of an assist when he teed up Peter Lwasa for Shark's third.

In other matches played on Saturday, Gor Mahia and Nairobi City Stars played out to a one-all draw while Posta Rangers held Sofapaka 1-1 at Wundanyi Stadium, Taita Taveta County.
