Former African Boxing Union light-heavy champion Daniel Wanyonyi on Saturday trounced Tanzanian showboating pro-pugilist Karim 'Mtu Kazi' Mandonga.

They participated in a non-title light heavyweight rematch at Sarit Centre Expo.

Wanyonyi gained his winning strength from the fourth, sixth and tenth rounds.

After the match, Wanyonyi said he used modern equipment to train for the rematch.

"I told you I had not trained well when I met Mandonga in January. He felt what I am made of and I want a rematch to teach him more," he said.

Mandonga congratulated Wanyonyi for his win promising a better fight next time.

Wanyonyi made a comeback after he was decimated by Mandonga in January at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre.

In the January match, Mandonga knocked out Wanyonyi in the fifth round of the show after Wanyonyi declined to get back to the ring for the next round handing Mandonga victory.
