Dream Girls and Titans will face off in the Nairobi Basketball Association (NBA) Provincial women's finals starting at Strathmore University Sports Complex this weekend.
Everlyne Kedogo's charges shut out Gladiators 3-1 while Titans closed out National Youth Service (NYS), sweeping them 3-0 on Sunday in the best-of-five-game series.
Dream Girls eclipsed Gladiators 55-23 as Celia Asila contributed 14 points and Marion Kerubo added 11. For Gladiators, it was Michelle Otinda who nailed 14 and Adeline Munguti added 10.
The losers will now play NYS in a classification game to determine the third-placed team.
The men's semifinals saw Multi Medi University and Don Bosco Savio take 2-0 and 2-1 series leads over Sunrise and Daystar University respectively.
MMU blanked Sunrise 78-49 as Gregory Mose scored 23 points, Timothy Gombe nailed 18, Jeremiah Halwenge grabbed 16 and Wycliffe Onyango added another 14 in that win.
Don Bosco, who lost 78-77 the previous day in a thriller that went into double overtime, won this one with a close 64-60 call.
Emmanuel Kelechi scored 13 points, Wisdom Okinyi shot 11 and Henry Lusi registered 10 for the winners.
The students were led by their floor leader Isaac Omondi who grabbed a game-high 21 points while Giovanni Ekada managed another 12 in that loss.
