Equity Bank blanked Gladiator of Burundi 45-27 in a FIBA Africa Zone Five Club Championships match played at National Indoor Stadium, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Sunday.

It was the third victory for the Kenyans after 53-33 and 53-51 victories over Rwandese sides REG and Hoops respectively.

It was all to easy for the bankers, who dominated all the quarters with a 9-6, 13-11 advantage in the first two and went on to pile the pressure in the last two with 12-4 and 11-6 margins.

In the Premier League matches played at Nyayo Stadium gymnasium, Thunder struck Strathmore University Blades 58-54 while Kenya College of Accountancy (KCA) University whipped Emyba 59-38. In the lower division, visiting Coastal Kings staged a late rally to pip KDF Morans 65-63.
