“My training has been good here and I want to try my best to ensure  I win at the Kip Keino Classic ahead of the World Championships,” said Kiprop.

Last year, she also failed to represent the country at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon after opting to join Kenya Defence Forces. Kiprop also missed last year's Kip Keino Classic because she was in KDF training.

So far, she has competed in the Athletics Kenya weekend meeting in Nairobi and Kisii. After the world championships, Kiprop will be aiming to retain her Africa Games title in Accra, Ghana next year.
