Athletics Kenya youth development chairman Barnaba Korir lauded the effort of the under 18/20 junior athletics team following their exploits at the African Championships.
Kenya finished third overall in the five-day event and managed to bring back home a total of 33 medals.
The team jetted back into the country on Thursday, May 4 and were received by AK officials led by Korir.
“While our target was to top the continent, we congratulate the youngsters for the impressive show. This is just the beginning for them. We look forward to celebrating their achievements in future," Korir said.
