Kenya's Daniel Kimaiyo and Reynold Kipkorir won their respective 1500m heats to book final slots in the ongoing World Under-20 Championship in Cali Colombia.
Kimaiyo won Heat One in 3:42.69 and was closely followed by the African bronze medalist Adhina Kasaye from Ethiopia who clocked 3:43.06 with Poland’s Filip Rak third in 3:44.84.
Kipkorir clocked 3:40.96 to win Heat Two.Luxembourg’s Vivien Henz was second in 3:45.04 while Canada’s Max Davies placed third in 3:45.55.
Ethiopia’s Ermias Girma ran away with Heat 3 in 3:45.40 while USA’s Nathan Green came second in 3:45.80. Great Britain’s Ethan Hussey completed top three places in the heat in 3:36.18.
