New Bandari FC coach Mohamed Borji has sounded the war drums ahead of his team’s fiery Sportpesa Premier League duel with AFC Leopards at Moi Stadium, Kasarani, today.

The Moroccan gaffer promised “fearless and attacking football” that will shake the old order. Borji, whose side stunned Leopards 1–0 in the ODM@20 Cup last weekend in Mombasa, says lightning is about to strike twice — this time, where it truly matters.

“We’re not here to hide. We’ve been training hard, pushing the players to believe again. This is a hungry team — and we’ll get results, Insha’Allah,” Borji said.

The Dockers’ fire burns brighter these days — new coach, new rhythm, new swagger. They sit ninth on the table with four points, chasing stability after a rocky start. But as Borji says, consistency is born of courage.

“I’ve seen commitment and discipline,” he added. “We’re fixing our finishing, tightening the back line, and sharpening our bite. The boys know what’s at stake — pride, points, and purpose.”

Across the dugout, Fred Ambani is a man under siege. His charges, 15th with just two points, are limping through a turbulent start that has tested fan patience and managerial resolve alike. They let a 2–0 lead slip to draw 2–2 with Posta Rangers, and frustration is bubbling.

Ambani admitted, “We played well against Posta Rangers but lost focus at the death. We’re fixing that. The final minutes — that’s where champions are made. We must be sharper.”

The coach’s tone is calm, but his eyes betray urgency. Ingwe’s faithful — blue and white to the bone — are restless. They demand the roar of old, the pride of Leopards that once hunted fearlessly under floodlights.

“We owe them that performance,” Ambani said. “Bandari are strong, but so are we. This is the time to remind everyone who AFC Leopards really are.”

The venue may have changed — from Nyayo to Kasarani — but the stakes remain colossal. The air will crackle with drums, chants, and heartbeats as two proud clubs collide, each desperate to prove a point.

Borji’s Bandari arrive on the wings of a 3–1 victory over Murang’a Seal, and their spirit is infectious. “If we keep this energy,” Borji smiled, “Bandari will be unstoppable. This is a new beginning — and we’re not looking back.”

For Ambani, it’s a defining afternoon. Win, and silence the murmurs. Lose, and the questions grow louder. Away from Kasarani, all eyes will also turn to Gusii Stadium, where table-toppers Shabana FC host Posta Rangers in what promises to be a blockbuster. Shabana, coached by Peter Okidi, are flying high and confident.

“We’ll go all out for the win,” Okidi said. “Our fans — the 12th man — push us to attack from the first whistle. At Gusii, we play with heart, rhythm, and fearlessness. We want to keep our place at the top.”

But waiting in the opposite corner is Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo, the man who guided Shabana last season before moving to Rangers. His return to Kisii carries emotion, pride, and a touch of unfinished business. “It’s always special to face a team you once led,” Pamzo admitted.

“But this is football — today, I fight for Rangers. We’ve got young, fearless lads, and we’re not here to make up the numbers. We’ll fight for every inch.”

Posta Rangers have been quietly building a storm — disciplined, youthful, and relentless. Their draw against Leopards and wins elsewhere have turned heads, and Pamzo’s influence is unmistakable.

“We’re not in the top half by luck,” he added. “We’ve earned it through sweat and sacrifice. Every game is a battle — and Gusii will be no different.”

Murang’a Seal host Sofapaka at St Sebastian Park, each seeking redemption after a shaky start.

Kakamega Homeboyz welcome Bidco United to Bukhungu Stadium, chasing their second win and a return to early-season momentum.

Borji’s arrival at Bandari has rekindled something raw and real — a hunger that smells of ambition.

For Ambani, the fire must burn just as fiercely if Leopards are to rise again. As the sun sets over Kasarani, expect drama, grit, and football played with heart.

Two traditions. Two dreams. One battlefield. Because in the FKF Premier League, every roar tells a story — and this weekend, Kenya will be listening.
