OVER 35,000 cyclists from over 20 countries are set to showcase their biking skills in the fifth edition of Jubilee Live Free Race on Sunday at Nyayo National Stadium, starting at 6 am.

The winner will clinch the mouth-watering prize money of Sh 4million, unlike  Sh 3million awarded to last year's winner.
“This year’s edition comes with increased prize money. The Jubilee Live Free Race now offers Sh4 million in prizes, up from Sh3 million last year. That recognition will inspire cyclists to push harder, train longer, and aim higher,” revealed Caroline Ndungu, Group head of marketing and corporate communications, during a partner’s session in Nairobi.
She also revealed that the fifth edition of Jubilee Live Free Race carries a deeper purpose. “Beyond the competition and the excitement, we are shining a light on two causes that touch lives directly. First, the need for mobility and dignity for amputees, where access to prosthetic limbs remains a major challenge. Secondly, we are driving environmental action through planting trees, setting up kitchen gardens, and restoring water towers in marginalised schools. This is about protecting today’s communities while giving future generations a healthier tomorrow,” she said.
To ensure smooth and easy competition,  roads leading to the venue shall be closed beginning Saturday (October 4) at midnight and opened at 1:00 pm on Sunday (October 5)
Motorists attending the event will secure parking at Nyayo Stadium via the Nairobi West route by 6 am, with security being provided.
The Nyayo Stadium race village will be open for the public to provide accommodation with a day full of live performances.
