Bungoma Queens' head Coach Robbert Machiyo said failure to take their chances was to blame for their 3-1 loss to Bunyore Starlets at Mumboha Stadium on Sunday.

"We had so many chances in the first half but my strikers failed to coordinate properly. Our opponents had only four chances and three were utilised," Machiyo said.

"Most of the time, my strikers were gambling with the ball in the opponent's territory."

They are fifth with 16 points while the defeat left Bungoma in the relegation zone with 12 points.

Also in danger are Madira Soccer Assassins (13 points), Zetech Sparks (15) and Nakuru City Queens (15) are also in the relegation dogfight.

Gaspo Women and Tranzoia Falcons have already been relegated after failing to honour three consecutive matches.

Nakuru drew 1-1 with Madira at ASK grounds in Nakuru.

Kibera Soccer Ladies lost 3-1 to leaders Kenya Police Bullets at the Wolves Den in Olooloitikosh, Kajiado County, while Zetech Sparks lost 1-0 to Vihiga Queens.
