Kenya Power has issued a public notice detailing planned power interruptions affecting more than 40 areas across Machakos and Uasin Gishu counties.
The interruption is scheduled for today, with specific time frames outlined for each region.
In Machakos, the power outage is slated to occur from 9 am to 5 pm.
Among the affected locations are Kimutwa Sisters, Kwa Kavoo, Yaitha, Mbembani, Kyawalia, Kyamuthinza, Kitonyini, Muumandu, Lumbwa, Kivandini, Ngiini, Kee, Nyayo Girls, Malili kwa Kea, Kavyuni, Katuaa, Kamuuani, Malooni, Mutulani, Veve, Kasunguni, liyuni, Miiani, Mbuani, Thome, Kola, and adjacent customers.
Additionally, portions of the Katani area, including Katani Primary School, Kenya Builders, RK Sanghani, H Young, Ngelani, and adjacent customers, will also experience the outage during the specified period.
In Uasin Gishu, the planned interruption will affect customers in Karuna center and Kaplolo junction.
The outage is scheduled to commence at 10 am and conclude at 5 pm.
Several other areas in Uasin Gishu County will also experience power interruptions during the same time frame.
These include Ibinga market, Ibinga dispensary, Salvation Army Church, Safaricom Boosters, Likuyani Centre, Likuyani Primary School, Likuyani Secondary School, Likuyani Health Centre, Sango Market, Sango Water Pump, Mapera Centre, and adjacent customers.
"The interruption is part of network maintenance," the utility firm said in the notice.
