Harpoons Swimming Club bagged 296 points to win the Kenya Aquatics Masters championship held at Sabis school

Little Fish club came second at 138 points with Parklands Sports Club a distant third on 93 points, as Hospital Hill Alumni ranked fourth on 84 points.

The competition was open to swimmers aged 25 and above. Among the swimmers that shone for Harpoons included Mourine Gitchie, Lucy Muthama, Duncan Salago, Sean Mpungu, Jackline Macharia, Mwangi Githae, Douglas Munz, Wanja Michuki, and Taura Katana.

The event attracted over 200 masters swimmers with 35 swim teams.

President of the Uganda Olympic Committee and former president of Uganda Swimming Federation Donald Rukare emphasized the broader significance of masters galas, stressing the importance of networking and fostering social capital among adults.

"I would like to thank my counterparts from Kenya for hosting this event, which I believe will grow in the years to come and enable our swimmers especially those aged 25 to keep themselves fit," added Rukare.

He extended an invitation to the Kenya team to grace the Uganda Swimming Federation masters event slated for July 24 in Kampala .
