St Christopher school Nanyuki successfully defended the Private and International Preparatory Schools Sports Association (PIPSSA) Inter-County Sports swimming Challenge over the weekend in Nanyuki.
Boniface Anyanzwa charges won the overall crown with 1070 points with Mpesa Academy finishing a distant second on 280 points with Riara Road Primary finished third with 217 points as Potterhouse school finished fourth with 143 points and Falcon heights finished fifth with 112 pints
In the boys category St Christopher's finished with 511 points with Nyeri High school second on 74 points as MPESA Academy took third position with 72 points with Mombasa Aquatics fourth with 63 points.

Nitia Karma was superb in the girls 13-14 age category with 61 points for St Christopher's while Samuel Gachagua dominated the 13-14 age category with 53 points as Elvis Gathingira led the 7-8 years category with 62 points

In the Chess category St Christopher Nanyuki bagged four gold , two silver and two bronze medals with Riara Primary second with four gold , one silver and two bronze medals.
In the football category, Kitengela international had mixed luck winning the under 7 category by beating Riara School 5-4 in post match penalties. In the under 9 they lost to the same oppposition 1-0 in the final.
Nyeri High School and Nyeri Moi Complex Primary School were the only public schools were sponsored by PIPSSA Kenya in a move aimed at increasing their participation in sports
