St. Christopher's School seeks to qualify for the Kampala gala

St. Christopher's School, Nanyuki swimming coach Omar Ali is confident his charges will defend the Private and International Preparatory Schools Sports Association (PIPSSA) Inter-County Sports Challenge on Saturday. 

Ali said his squad is brimming with confidence and has had good training ahead of the two-day event.

“ I know the competition will be quite tough but I believe it will bring the best in out of us. We are well prepared and ready for our opponents,” he added. 

Ali will be up against the likes of Brickwoods, Potterhouse School, Chantilly, Riara, and Mpesa Foundation Academy. Others are—Aga Khan, Oshwal Academy, Nyahururu Elite, Moi Educational, Lukenya, Nova Pioneer and Tatu City.

“Our target is to have as many swimmers as possible in the team to Kampala. We are confident our swimmers will  attain the qualification times,” added Ali

Laikipia governor Joshua Irungu will be the chief guest in the two-day event which will be sponsored by Avenue Hospital, Equity Bank, Warwick Hotel and Optiven among others.

PIPSSA organising secretary, Damaris Muthoni, said more competitions under their organisation are scheduled for later in the year.
