Madira Soccer Assassins head coach Francis Muhambe has bemoaned the exit of Faith Atieno and Jeryl Adhiambo.

Atieno joins Mathare United, following in the footsteps of ex-captain Jane Hato, while Adhiambo has Kenya Police Bullet FC respectively.

Hato and Adhiambo are set to replace Lorine Owiti and Eunice Mwangi,  who left Mathare United Women for Bunda Queens of Tanzania.

Muhambe said losing three key plays in a short time presents a huge challenge to the team going forward.

"We are in the market looking for replacements though it's not as easy as it may sound since teams want to cling onto their best players," Muhambe said.

He revealed ongoing talks between the club and Susan Muhonja (Bunyore Starlets) and two more players from Friends College Kaimosi but nothing concrete yet.

"I have no alternative but to come up with new strategies to ensure the team is performing."

Meanwhile, Bunyore Starlets Chief Executive Officer Zacharia Amakhana is counting losses following the departure of Noel Shilachilo for Vihiga Queens.

He said they are struggling in the market to get a replacement for both Shilachilo and Irin Madaline, who left the club for Yanga Princess of Tanzania.

Elsewhere, Bunyore Starlets head coach Timothy Ondeko said they will not head for the market despite the departure of several key players.

"We can't stop playing because some players have left. We have to go on with the league," Ondeko said.
