Kenya humiliated by Angola in World junior show in Tunisia

Kenya made a false start in the 30th Africa Women's Junior Championship after being humiliated 54-9 by Angola in their opening Group A match in Monastir, Tunisia on Thursday.

Coach Juma Gerald had on the eve of this duel expressed his concerns about the weather conditions in the North African city. The Kenyan youngsters, captained by Esther Butali, had no answers at all in this match-up.

The Angolans, who are among the top teams in the continent, dominated this fixture from the opening whistle and easily tormented the losers at will from all fronts.

Kenya will play DR Congo on Friday while Guinea will take on Cote d’Ivoire. Masadascar meet Mali as Tunisia close the day with a match against Algeria in an all North Africa duel.
