Zetech Sparks coach Benard Kitolo says his plans to sign Monica Etot are still on as he seeks to boost his striking force for next season.

Kitolo, speaking to the Star on the phone, said his side had the capacity to finish in the top four but lack of striking quality derailed them.

“We had plans to recruit her in the mid-season but that plan never materialised. I believe we now have a better chance to recruit her,” Kitolo said.

“I know that she is currently nursing a knee injury but that is not a big issue. I have got a strong medical team in my camp and I am sure once we have her on our side, she will be treated,” he added.

Kitolo said they are still optimistic about recruiting more quality players as they plan to be ready for next season.

He said the Women's Premier League is becoming very competitive and thus the need to prepare well, both financially and tactically.

“I am preparing both on the playing unit side and I know the management is working on securing funds to ensure that, when the season kicks off, we won’t fumble,” he cited.
