Harambee Starlets coach Alex Alumira wants new sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba to incorporate views from football stakeholders in order to find a lasting solution to the problems affecting the sport.

The former Vihiga Queens coach, who won three consecutive titles with the legacy makers, said players, coaches, club owners and the federation must all be given a fair hearing in order to amicably end the impasse.

"Namwamba played football though not at the highest level. He's been there  when we had issues during the Sammy Nyamweya era and he understands our football well"

"All stakeholders must be given a chance to point out their problems and offer the way forward. Namwamba is a lawyer who must clear up the mess and return our football to the level it was. Football needs to be back in the shortest time possible. Namwamba has the tools to cure our problems. Kenya have been suspended and banned several times but the problem must now be solved once and for all."

Whether Alumira will remain as Starlets coach remains to be seen. Alumira was appointed Starlets coach on January 24 but is yet to guide the team in any assignment.

Meanwhile, Alumira who is the technical director at Tanzania's Fountain Gate Club challenged Jentrix Shikangwa and Ruth Ingosi to remain focused after the duo was dropped from Simba Queens' traveling party to the Caf Women's Champions League in Morocco.

Alumira is credited for nurturing Shikangwa at Vihiga. The pair joined Simba at the start of the season and their omission from the 23-woman party follows Fifa's delayed registration that saw their names remain in the books of former clubs Fatih Karagumruk of Turkey and Lakatamia of Cyprus respectively.

The recent closure of the transfer window means they'll be ineligible to feature in the second edition of the competition slated for October 30 to November 13.

"I understand their pain but it's disappointing for them to miss out because the Champions League is a platform for them to be scouted, exposed and earn European moves. The situation cannot be reversed and  they must remain level-headed since there is always a second chance."

Ingosi said: "I haven't recovered from the shock but I hope I'll be better soon."

Shikangwa was the top scorer in the Cecafa Club Qualifiers last year with 10 goals. She was ever present in Egypt in the tournament proper before heading to Turkey.
