Bungoma side joins KBF league

Swift from Bungoma have joined this year's Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) women's Division One league.

Joseph Amoko, the KBF fixtures secretary revealed that a total of eight men and women teams will be on the program this year.

Swift now joins Western Delight as the two teams that will battle for honours in the women's lower tier. Amoko said six teams will play in the men's Division One league and three in the women's lower division.

Moischers Nets (Malindi), Cabals Elisits (Nakuru), Congo Nets (Mombasa) and Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS). Others are- the National Bank of Kenya (NBK) and Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUATS).

Women teams include- Swift (Bungoma), TH3 Swish (Nakuru), and Scarlet Nairobi).  "I have already done draft fixtures that have been sent to the teams," Amoko said, "Once I get feedback from them,  it will be released officially."

The league will throw off on June 4.
