A young Europe-based Kenyan business lady has set up a state-of-the-art beauty parlour at the coastal town of Mtwapa. Called the Red Carpet Beauty Lounge, the establishment is said to have cost entrepreneur Irene Ogali a whopping Sh7 million in investment. It was launched recently.

Ogali, who is also the owner of the popular Ogalis Club in Mtwapa, says that her aim in establishing the high-end salon was to offer excellent beauty services at the Kenyan coast and also to create employment especially for the youth.

“I just don’t want to create employment for our young people, but also introduce into the Kenyan coast, and the country in general, quality cosmetic products and beauty services. I also want to share the knowledge and skills I possess in hairdressing from Europe with any willing Kenyan, as my legacy and a way to give back to the community,” she says.
