AJUOK: Devolution meet misses boat on critical county issues

CoG pushed to the back burner challenges like perennial delays in disbursements from Treasury to counties and ‘devolved corruption’.

Quite interestingly, the CoG also decided to push to the back burner routine devolution challenges like perennial delays in disbursements from Treasury to counties, the continued holding onto key devolved functions by the national government and the unwelcome spectre of ‘devolved corruption’.

The curtains came down last Friday, with a touch of controversy, on the eighth Devolution Conference, marking the 10th anniversary of devolution as well as the first biennial showpiece.
