Kaveve Kazoze singers Spider Clan have not benefited from the fame of the viral song.
The group admitted this in an interview on Thursday, Dec 7 on Jalango TV.
They spoke about how they were promised so much including a 5 million donation.
"Maisha imekuwa ngumu because even some promoters came on board but nothing. We were even promised jobs, but see we even have our CVs here with us, we are job searching.
Saa izi tuko chini mbaya," Paul the manager said.

Banguz, Mosree, Ngesh, and Mguzu, also echoed the same sentiments.
They are Naivasha residents who grew up together. They have released other songs after Kaveve Kazoze.
The music has not been received as well as the viral song. The group is still holding onto hopes that the promises will be fulfilled. In the meantime, they are job-hunting to survive
Ngesh, the most famous of the group said it has been sad as people out there think they have money, while their pockets are dry.
"When you meet people in the streets they say you have money and you can't tell them you are broke," she said.
"I stopped selling bags in town I quit mambo tuu mob."
The official song on their YouTube channel was released six months ago. It has garnered over 4.2 million views.
Back in May, the song became a sensation with the lyrics having Kenyans chanting about how relatable it is.
Even politicians joined in, calling for support of the Rieng Genje singers.
Elsewhere, gengetone artists have been raising concern online with their appeals for financial help.
