Gengetone singer Mejja is back after taking a sabbatical from the music scene due to a throat infection.

Through his Instagram page, the 'Kanairo Dating' hitmaker told fans his time off stage was a journey of discovery.

"I have learned a lot through this process about patience, na pia who your real friends are. Tubaki hivo hivo," he captioned a photo.

He said his doctor allowed him to continue singing but with caution.

Last year, Mejja cancelled one of his shows in Australia due to a loss of voice.

He told Willy M Tuva he did not take action when that happened. He narrated how he get some symptoms that didn't seem bad until one day when he was brushing his teeth and tried to clear his throat and saw some spots of blood.
