‘Sultana’ actress Bwire fighting breast cancer

Actress Winnie Bwire is battling cancer. 

On her Instagram posts, she captioned her photos that, "Cancer doesn't scare me anymore."

Bwire plays 'Dida' in the popular Citizen TV telenovela 'Sultana'.

In her post, she said she has been battling breast cancer for some time. 

The actress, who is engaged to her fellow actor Dan Sonko, celebrating the end of breast cancer awareness month by appreciating those who walk with her.

 

"Those in the know walked with me from the very beginning," she wrote.

"We’re almost at the end of the lap, and I count myself blessed to have people like you in my life. A big thank you to God. He is the star of my show."

The cancer warrior shared photos of her clean shaved head, wearing a white dress accompanied by cancer awareness hashtags.

In another post, she said the healing process continues to teach her that strength of heart, mind and emotion computes a warrior spirit.

"We are the true determinants of what we take on in this life. I salute all the warriors out there who have chosen mind over matter."

Bwire and Dan Sonko are raising the two sons he had sired with his late wife.

His wife Dru died in 2017, days after giving birth to their secondborn child.
