Kenya is set to celebrate its 2022 Mashujaa Day tomorrow, an event that will be held at Uhuru Garden.

Rufftone, one of the artistes set to perform, said the day is a significant for all people.

"It is important to remember those who have gone before us," he said.

Asked who his hero this year is, Rufftone said he celebrates the common mwanachi.

"We don't have to celebrate politicians but also those who live in slums like Kibra and all normal Kenyans who have encountered the difficult economic situation without asking for people to help them," he said.

"They are our parents and have families, and so I celebrate them."

This is the first National Day celebration under the leadership of President William Ruto.

Other performers include gospel singer Rebecca Thomas, Zzero Sufuri and Evelyn Wanjiru.
